For European agencies sending athletes to US college sports.
Many agencies in Europe present themselves as sports scholarship or recruitment agencies. ScoutPath is the workspace behind that work: athlete profiles, research on US college programs, shortlists and follow-up, with the source of each fact. Colleges decide on admission and athletic aid; ScoutPath does not promise either.
Grades as your athletes have them
European school results do not translate one-to-one into a US grade point average.
- Local average
- Record the average in the system the athlete was graded in: France (/20), Spain (/10), Italy (/10), Germany (1–6, 1 best), UK A-levels, International Baccalaureate (/45).
- US equivalent
- Next to it, the US-equivalent GPA that you or a credential evaluation service established, with where it came from. ScoutPath never converts grades on its own, and admission is always decided by the institution.
- English tests
- Scores are compared with a program's minimum when one is on file; when none is, the program is marked as needing a check rather than assumed to accept the athlete.
- Budget
- Kept in US dollars per academic year, the way US colleges publish their costs, so it can be compared with each program's cost estimate.
Personal data, with the roles set out
Your athletes are often minors, and their families trust you with their data.
- ScoutPath is established in France. Your agency decides what is done with its athletes' data; ScoutPath processes it on your behalf under the agency terms and data processing agreement, which are still drafts under review.
- Consent is recorded for each athlete before their data is used, and a parent or guardian's consent for athletes under 18.
- Each agency has its own workspace: an athlete's data is never visible to another agency.
- An athlete's data can be exported as a JSON file or deleted together with its documents.
US college levels, side by side
NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year colleges do not offer the same things.
ScoutPath covers soccer, tennis, golf, track & field, cross-country and swimming. Each program shows its association, division and conference for the season, with the source and the date the information was collected, and, where the figures are on file, a cost estimate and the athletic aid rules of its association.
